Located in the heart of the small town of Thônes, in a historic building, the museum has 3 levels. Here you'll discover the entire history of the Pays de Thônes, from its origins (geology, prehistory) to its local history, as well as the great history of the Genevois, Savoie and France.
Created in 1937 by François Cochat, who contributed a large and rich collection, it is also a journey into the daily life of Thônains in the past, crafts, old trades and factories, the Firemen's Festival, religion, cheese-making, paintings...

Monday, 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Tuesday, 9am to 12pm.
Wednesday, 9am to 12pm and 1:30pm to 5:30pm.
Thursday and Friday, 9am to 12pm and 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
Saturday from 9h30 to 12h and from 14h30 to 18h.
