A trip on the Tramway du Mont-Blanc is THE pretext for multiple escapades...
The TMB, as it's known here, gives you access to an extraordinary panorama. It's the gateway to a host of itineraries, some of which open the doors to the high mountains. Whether for a family outing or a sporty getaway, there's every reason to take this legendary cogwheel train. Contemplating the panorama will leave you with unforgettable memories.
But that's not the only reason to take this cogwheel train, because along the way it reveals all the diversity and variety of our mountain landscapes.
More than just an excursion, a true exploration!

Mountain bikes are accepted on the TMB only on the 1st train, and on the last 2 trains, from June 14 to July 05 and from August 30 to September 28, 2025.
Mountain bikes are accepted on the TMB on the first 2 trains, and on the last 3 trains from 06 July to 29 August 2025.

Special mountaineering info:

Access to the Nid d'Aigle is reserved for mountaineers with a refuge reservation.
Trains specially dedicated to mountaineers planning to climb Mont Blanc via the normal Goûter route will be offered at the following times: 7am, 12pm and last train from Le Fayet - Descent at 8.10am, 1.10pm and last train back minus 10 minutes.

The 10am and 1pm trains will run depending on weather conditions and passenger numbers.

The train terminates at Mont Lachat.

From 06/07 to 29/08/2025, daily between 7 am and 4 pm.
Departure times from Le Fayet every day at 7am,8am, 9am, 10am,10.30am 11am, 12pm, 1pm,1.30pm, 2pm,3pm, 3.30pm, 4pm.

The 8am, 10.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm trains will run depending on weather conditions and passenger numbers.

The train terminates at Mont Lachat.

From 30/08 to 28/09/2025, daily between 7 am and 3 pm.
Departure times from Le Fayet every day at 7am, 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

Tarifs

Family pass: 114.80 €
One way ticket for adult: 24.20 €
Round-trip ticket for adult: 37 €
Round-trip ticket for a child (5-14 years): 31.50 €.

Free entry for children under 5.
Group rate available for 20 people or more.

The tramway is included in the MONT BLANC Multipass in the summer and the MONT BLANC Unlimited in the winter.
