A propos
Young and old alike are invited to step back in time and discover the cat and mouse game played by smugglers and 'gabelous' in the Portes du Soleil mountains before the advent of winter sports.
Thanks to a richly illustrated exhibition punctuated with anecdotes, the Vieille Douane recreates a picturesque and educational world.
Numerous fun tools are used to talk about the history of France and the rural world from the Middle Ages to the present day.
Groups are welcome all year round by prior reservation.
