Explore the Platé Desert by climbing to the heights of the Fiz massif. This physical hike invites you to travel with a magnificent link in the heart of the largest Lapiaz in Europe between the refuges of Varan and Platé.

From the Via Ferrata de Curalla car park, follow the track then the path that leads to the Varan refuge. A technical path then climbs straight up in the direction of Barmerousse. Follow the red dots marked on the ground to cross the magnificent limestone desert to the Platé refuge. Head south to descend to Charbonnière. The path then becomes wider up to the Jardin des Cimes from where you can reach the starting point via the Balcons d'Assy.
